High-ranking Delegation from Indian Army Visits Supreme National Defense University

The 19-person delegation consisting of high-ranking officials of the Indian Army and students of the National Defense University of the Indian Army, headed by Major General Rajesh Moghe, visited the Islamic Republic of Iran from Aug., 28^th, 2022 to Sep., 1^st 2022 as part of a study tour, and in line with the development of bilateral scientific and research cooperation, they visited the National Defense University on Monday (Aug., 29^th).

Upon the arrival of the said delegation and after paying respect at the Tombs of the Unknown Martyrs, they were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam and after that, they went to the office of the president of the University and the head of the delegation talked with the president of the university.

In this meeting, Brigadier General Dr. Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam, while welcoming the said delegation, emphasized on the development of educational and research cooperation and talked about the educational and research structure of the university. Also, exchanging professors and admitting students was announced to the Indian delegation. Then, this delegation also visited the library and the Information Center of the University as well as Strategic Management faculty, National Security Faculty and National Defense Faculty. After the memorial book was signed and memorial photos were taken and gift were exchanged, the delegation left the university.

It is worth mentioning that the hosting of this delegation was entrusted to Supreme National Defense University upon the approval of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and it was carried out according to the timetable on a five-day stay basis in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Important meetings were held with the commander of the Ground Forces of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as the deputy of the Ministry of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces and the Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. This delegation also visited the Command and Staff University of the Army and the exhibition of capabilities of the Ministry of Defense and got acquainted with highly suitable training capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces and defense capabilities in various fields including drones, electronics and missiles. This delegation left the Islamic Republic of Iran on Sept., 1^st, after completing the planned programs, escorted by the authorities of the university.
