Celebration of the Holy Defense Week

The commemoration ceremony of the 42nd anniversary of the Holy Defense Week was held on Wednesday (Sep. 28^th, 2022), with the aim of honoring the pure efforts of the martyrs and veterans, and with narration of the memories by some of the commanders during that era at Supreme National Defense University (SNDU).

In this ceremony, Brigadier General Dr. Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam, the commander of National Defense University gave a lecture. He said, "The Holy Defense constitutes a great part of the national identity of the noble and resistant people of the Islamic Iran, and it is indicative of the fact that the great nation of Iran has a rich identity." If we look at the past and the history of this country, we will find that our identity consists of bravery, sacrifice and resistance of the men of this land who gave their lives throughout the history to preserve the dignity and authority of this land so that to protect this country against threats and perils. This zealous resistance and defense form our identity.

He also said that the culture of Islamic Iran has been transferred from the past to the present, generation to generation, and has reached us today, and it is taking these vast stands and resistances that have made us be proud of our culture and past today, and this identity and culture will endure during the history.
