Delegation from Omani Faculty of Command and Staff visits Supreme National Defense University (SNDU)

A military delegation consisting of 33 commanders, officials and students of the Command and Staff College of Oman led by Commodore Ahmed Muhammad Ali Al-Mashikhi visited Supreme National Defense University (SNDU) on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

Upon arrival, the members of this delegation paid tribute to the graves of the unknown martyrs buried in the courtyard of the SNDU mosque by reciting Surah Al-Fatihah and putting flowers on the graves.

Then, the Omani guests went to the conference hall in the Faculty of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and after a friendly and intimate meeting between the President of the Supreme National Defense University, Brigadier General Dr. Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam and Commodore Ahmed Muhammad Ali Al-Mashikhi the head of Omani Delegation, the official meeting began with the recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran.

In the following, Dr. Ahmadi Moghaddam, the president of the National Defense University, introduced the position of the university and the structure of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the university. After that, he addressed the vision and mission of the university and enumerated the drawn horizons of the university by mentioning the holding of the international conference on the New World Order Geometry.

This meeting continued with the introduction of the educational activities and measures of the university by the vice president of education and post-graduate studies, and then the head of the Omani delegation, as the last lecturer of this meeting, thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for the invitation and the hospitality of the Supreme National Defense University. While pointing to the long history of friendship between the two countries, he expressed hope that the relations between the two countries, which originate from the effective views of both sides and also through the bridges of friendship that have been established between the two countries, will improve the future of the relations between the two countries in all fields especially in the field of military cooperation. He also pointed out that if this successful experience did not exist in the past, this visit or cooperation that currently exists between the two countries in the field of scientific interactions and student exchange would not have been seen today. He further mentioned this point that there are common relations between Iran and Oman, which have caused the two countries to come together, among which is the existence of a common religion and a sense of brotherhood between the two countries, which in addition to good neighborliness is important. In the end, while referring to a tradition from the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) about the importance of respecting the neighbors and recommending the right they had in this regard, he wished the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a good Oman’s neighbor, continuous advancement.

After this speech, Dr. Ahmadi Moghaddam and the Omani delegation exchanged their university crests. Then, Omani delegation visited the Faculty of National Defense, Faculty of National Security, Faculty of strategic Management as well as the central library of the university. Finally, the head of the Omani delegation signed the Memorial Book of the university and wrote the following paragraph:  

“In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. I got delighted with the development and progress we have seen in this university with a long history. Hereby, I would like to express my gratitude to the university president and directors of faculties and educational boards for their warm welcome, valuable lectures and adequate explanations. We ask the Almighty God to protect this country and make security, progress, development and prosperity in it stable and everlasting.”
