The statement of the Supreme National Defense University on the occasion of Azar 16th (December 7, 1953) University Students Day

According to the International Communication and Relations Center, the Supreme National Defense University has issued a statement on the occasion of commemorating 16^th of Azar the University Student Day as follows:

In the Name of God

In the verses of the Holy Qur'an and in the sayings of Beloved Imams (peace be upon them), the basic attention and valuing of science and knowledge, scientists and students can be clearly seen. Imam Ali, the Commander of believers, (peace be upon him) says in a statement from Nahjul-Balagha that knowledge is the source of power and this word prompts us to, as a leading country in the Islamic world, pay more attention to these religious foundations than others and adhere to them.

The Supreme National Defense University, as the highest academic level and research institute in the armed forces, has the basic responsibility of training and practical skills in formulating strategies and policies and macro policies and long-term strategic planning and how to strategically manage an organization and having a proper understanding of national security and all its aspects, accordingly, this university has a fundamental role in identifying the issues of the country and the armed forces, and is able to formulate the issues with efficient solutions in the process of doctoral classes, group studies and graduation theses by using professors and subject matter experts. and provide it to commanders and managers.

We are trying to meet the expectations of the supreme leader of the Islamic revolution who addressed the professors of the country's universities. He said, “Consider yourselves part of the problems and problems of the armed forces; find problems and search for problems, and look for solutions then fulfil them; discard the unsuccessful ways and search for the ways that have not been taken; expose them to the experts and then finalize and present the appropriate works.”

This day is an opportunity to honor the position and dignity of university students who have always played an active and effective role in the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its progress, and in the current critical situation when our dear country needs unity and empathy, they are expected to put scientific jihad at the forefront of their thinking and their actions and make their determination to follow the instructions of the Supreme Leader and according to the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on the production of science and software movement, to bring this country to a worthy position and to display Iranian Islamic model of progress in a tangible way.
