Vice President for Operations and Planning of the Sultanate of Oman visited the Supreme National Defense University

In line with the development of scientific and research cooperation and the enhancing scientific diplomacy, Brigadier General Hamed bin Abdullah bin Ahmad Al Balushi, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning of the Armed Forces of the Sultanate of Oman, headed a high-ranking delegation visited the Supreme National Defense University of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 and visited Brigadier general Dr. Ismail Ahmadi Moghadam, the president of the university. In this three-hour meeting, Brigadier General Hamed bin Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Balushi and the accompanying delegation, while getting familiar with the structure of the SNDU, got acquainted with the university's activities in the fields of science and research and science diplomacy as well, and the two sides agreed to deepen scientific and research relations as well as increasing the level of bilateral exchange.

Brigadier general Ahmadi Moghadam, President of the SNDU, while referring to his trip to Oman last month and appreciating the hospitality of the Omani side, emphasized on the willingness of the Supreme National Defense University to have as many students as possible from friendly and Muslim countries, especially the Sultanate of Oman, to study at the International College of this university. He said that this university trains military and civilian managers at a strategic level, and expressed hope that in the future, we will see more Omani students from different parts of Oman to attend the SNDU. Then, the Deputy Chief for Operations and Planning of the Armed Forces of the Sultanate of Oman visited the library and the Faculties of Defense, Security, Strategic and International Management of the university and got acquainted with the way of teaching and the available facilities of the university for Iranian and foreign students.

At the end of this ceremony, the badge of the Supreme National Defense University was awarded to the Omani side, and in return, the badge of the Armed Forces of the Sultanate of Oman was awarded to the president of the SNDU. Before leaving the SNDU, Brigadier General Hamed bin Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Balushi wrote the following sentences in the memorial book of the university: "Today we were honored to visit the Supreme National Defense University. I was really happy to see the huge progress and development that this university has achieved. I visited the faculties of this university and in this regard, I am very grateful to all those involved for their warm and friendly welcome, and I wish them success more and more."
