Official Visit of a Delegation from the National Defense College of the Sultanate of Oman to the Supreme National Defense University of Iran

In response to the recent visit by the President of the National Defense University of the Islamic Republic of Oman to the Kingdom of Oman, a delegation comprising professors and students from the National Defense College of the Kingdom of Oman, led by Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Ba’omar, visited the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday, December 16th, 2023. The purpose of their visit was to strengthen the bilateral relations between Iran and Oman, and to explore opportunities for future collaboration between the two institutions.

The delegation began their visit by touring the National Defense University and attending an opening ceremony. During the ceremony, Amir Brigadier General Dr. Boal Hosni, the Deputy of the National Defense University, provided a comprehensive overview of the university's structure and academic programs. He expressed his hope that this visit would enhance the ties between Iran and Oman, and pave the way for more students from the National Defense College of the Sultanate of Oman to study at the Supreme National Defense University in the future.

In his address, Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Ba’omar emphasized the historical and geographical commonalities that have long connected Iran and Oman. He also highlighted the strategic importance of the two countries, given their sensitive geopolitical positions and the presence of other nations in the region. Dr. Ba'mar commended the strong diplomatic and political relations between Iran and Oman, which have contributed to the significance of their bilateral ties.
