Message of Condolence from the President of the Supreme National Defense University on the Martyrdom of the Head of the Hamas Political Bureau

According to the report from the Center for Communications and International Relations, Brigadier General Dr. Esmail Ahmadi Moghaddam, the President of the Supreme National Defense University, issued a message on the occasion of the martyrdom of Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of the Hamas Political Bureau. The text of this message is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

"Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Among them are some who have fulfilled their vow [by martyrdom], and some of them are still waiting, and they have not changed [their determination] with any change [of circumstances]." [Quran 33:23]

"Martyrdom is the pride of the saints." - Imam Khomeini (may Allah's good pleasure be upon him)

I offer my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to  all Muslims and freedom-loving people around the world, as well as to the noble and resilient Palestinian nation, and especially to the oppressed and courageous people of Gaza, on the martyrdom of the tireless mujahid, Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of the Hamas Political Bureau, who was one of the standard-bearers in the all-encompassing Islamic struggle against the forces of disbelief in the current era.

Martyr Haniyeh was an exemplary real Muslim and a man of ethics, who even in war against the enemy, exerted his utmost effort to the point of sacrificing his life in defense and salvation of his compatriots, especially the defenseless women and children of Gaza, from the evil of the Zionist regime, and for this sacred cause, he dedicated the entirety of his and his family's lives to a noble objective. The martyrdom of this paragon of resistance and his path will certainly be a great eternal treasure for that noble man and a guiding light for future generations.

The occupying and criminal Zionist regime, which is expanding its terrorist activities around the world daily with the support of the United States, should know that the assassination of Dr. Haniyeh is another sign of the approaching end of the dark life of this fake regime. Certainly, the resilient Palestinian nation and the Islamic resistance will not retreat with such actions, and the revenge for the blood of this martyr will be taken.

From the Exalted God, I pray for the lofty and celestial souls of that devout and faithful mujahid, and those accompanying him who attained martyrdom in this incident, [that they be granted] elevated ranks.
