According to a report from the Center for Communications and International Relations, Brigadier General Dr. Esmaeil Ahmadi Moghaddam, together with a group of officials from the Supreme National Defense University, met on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 (21st of Shahrivar 1403) with Brigadier General Ashtiani, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

At the beginning of the meeting, Brigadier General Ahmadi Moghaddam congratulated Brigadier General Ashtiani on his appointment as the Deputy Chief of Staff. He noted that Ashtiani’s experience as the Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support in the 13th government could bring significant benefits to the Armed Forces. Ahmadi Moghaddam also expressed gratitude for Ashtiani’s commendable support for the Supreme National Defense University during his tenure as Minister of Defense.

He then presented a brief report on the university’s expanded developmental activities in various dimensions, including infrastructure, buildings, education, and research. He stated that over the past three years, the Supreme National Defense University has seen a minimum of fourfold growth in all its functional aspects, and this trend continues to expand rapidly.

Brigadier General Ashtiani, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, also expressed his gratitude to the President of the Supreme National Defense University. He described the activities and measures taken during this period as "outstanding" compared to previous eras of the university and stated that during the recent management period of the university, there has been notable and exemplary progress in the university's activities, along with significant improvements in both educational and research standards.

He further added: Given the experiences gained during the past three years in the Administration, there is full readiness to address the educational and research needs of the university and to provide the necessary support for the development of the university's plans.
