The Supreme National Defense University Issuing a Statement on the Occasion of the Beginning of the Holy Defense Week

The Supreme National Defense University, As reported by the Center for Communications and International Relations, has released a statement to mark the arrival of the Holy Defense Week, the text of which is as follows:

The history of the Islamic Revolution in Iran is full of both bitter and sweet moments, characterized by significant ups and downs which Iran has successfully navigated with the special graces of God and the special favours of Imam Mahdi (May God Hasten His Return), along with the wise and insightful leadership of the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Ayatollah Khamenei (May His Shadow Endure), and the Iranian nation’s noble resolution, and sacrifices as well. With divine grace, we are on the verge of witnessing the collapse of oppression and tyranny, and the eradication of the nefarious and child-killing Zionist regime from the world stage.

The eight years of the Holy Defense represented a monumental campaign that came to fruition thanks to the support of the brave youth of the Islamic Iran and all segments of the society. This victory was achieved through the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs and veterans which lead to a glorious victory in which the armed forces of the Islamic Republic gained priceless field experiences, one that set the nation on a trajectory that continues to inspire pride among Muslims and hope for the oppressed worldwide.

While honoring the memory of the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the distinguished martyrs, veterans, and defenders of Islam in the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, the Revolutionary Guards, the Basij, and the Law Enforcement Forces, along with their patient and resilient families, we offer our  heartfelt prayers for the heroic nation of Iran, as well as the families of martyrs and veterans, and all members of society and governmental institutions. For, through their unwavering patience, sacrifices, and acts of valor, they remained committed to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, and, in the face of countless challenges and obstacles set forth by the adversaries of this revolution, they consistently stood as stalwart defenders and champions of the Islamic Revolution.
