Major General Mustabekov Askar, President of the National Defense University of Kazakhstan, during his visit to the Iranian Supreme National Defense University, stated: “I believe that including your senior commanders as members of the faculty at the National Defense University is a remarkable initiative, effectively facilitating the transfer of commanders' experiences to future generations across various domains of security, politics, and geopolitics”.

As reported by the Communications and International Relations Center, Major General Mustabekov Askar, President of the National Defense University of Kazakhstan, visited the Islamic Republic of Iran at the head of a three-member delegation to engage in discussions aimed at enhancing scientific, educational, and research collaboration between the two nations. On Monday, October 1st, following an official reception by Second Brigadier General Dr. Khosrow BolHassani, the Vice-President of the University, General Mustabekov Askar held a meeting with Brigadier General Dr. Ismail Ahmadi-Moqaddam, President of the Supreme National Defense University.

At the outset of the meeting, General Ahmadi-Moqaddam extended a warm welcome to the President of the National Defense University of Kazakhstan and his delegation, offering an overview into the structure of the National Defense University, its diverse academic programs including the majors and fields of specification, as well as the Shahid Beheshti School of Governance. He highlighted the university's enrollment capacities and its role in training strategic leaders and commanders. Following this, both sides underscored the importance of maintaining their previous collaborations, including faculty exchanges and joint academic webinars. They reached an agreement to enhance their cooperation through a scientific, educational, and research memorandum of understanding. It was agreed that after reviewing the draft of the proposed memorandum of understanding, the agreement would be signed in the near future during the next visit of either university president to the other's country.

At the end of the meeting, both parties exchanged insignias from their respective national defense universities, expressing optimism that this visit would mark the beginning of strengthening scientific, educational, and research collaborations between the two institutions.

Major General Mustabekov Askar, President of the National Defense University of Kazakhstan, continued his visit accompanied by the Deputy for Education and Training of the Supreme National Defense University, touring the faculties of Strategic Management, National Defense, and National Security, as well as the research centers. He also visited the International Faculty and assessed its capacity for enrolling foreign students. During this visit, he expressed hope that the two countries would see students studying in each other's nations in the near future.

In another segment of his remarks, he stated: “I believe that including your senior commanders as members of the faculty at the National Defense University is a remarkable initiative, effectively facilitating the transfer of commanders' experiences to future generations across various domains of security, politics, and geopolitics”.
