Statement of the Supreme National Defense University on the Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani

According to the Center for Communications and International Relations, the Supreme National Defense University  has issued the following statement on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Five years have passed since the honorable martyrdom of the "man of the field," the great and renowned commander of the Quds Force of Islam, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani. This esteemed martyr, who referred to himself as a "soldier of the guardianship," demonstrated both in speech and action his absolute loyalty to the Supreme Leader (may his blessings be upon him) and the overarching policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Alongside our esteemed martyr, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, with a cohesive organizational effort, they united the various factions and sects of Iraq, enabling them to stand against the sinister forces of ISIS with a valuable military structure. Today, academic organizations, in honoring the luminous legacy of Martyr Soleimani, are committed to following the path and principles of this esteemed martyr, which is a bright and blessed journey leading to nothing but prosperity and a successful outcome.

Martyr Qassem Soleimani was a role model for fighters and an inspiration for nations and those striving for religion and freedom. He extended the strategic depth of the Islamic Republic and the power of Islamic Iran to the shores of the Mediterranean and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, skillfully dismantling the sinister influence of the puppet government of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

Martyr Qassem Soleimani, a unique example of exceptional individuals of our time and a prominent role model in this field, fought tirelessly until his last breath for the dignity and power of this land. By dismantling the cancerous tumor of ISIS, he bestowed security upon the people of the region. The Supreme Leader (may God protect him) praised his esteemed status, describing him as a commander who regarded Iran as a "sanctuary." Without the pure blood of this martyr and other martyrs, there would today be no news of our sacred precincts or shrines.

Martyr Qassem Soleimani will be an icon and a role model for the youth of the Islamic world today and in the future. Undoubtedly, the hand of divine vengeance, with the help of the companions of the Awaited Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) and his rightful representative, will firmly grasp the perpetrators of this crime. Soon, with the destruction of the accursed Zionist regime, the groundwork and conditions for the reappearance of the Almighty Imam Mahdi (may our souls be sacrificed for him) will be facilitated, God willing.
