Formation of the First Task Force for Predicting and Alerting Natural Disaster Risks at the National Defense University

According to the Center for Communications and International Relations, the Task Force for Predicting and Alerting Natural Disaster Risks, part of the Strategic Crisis Management Group at the Supreme National Defense University, commenced its activities on Sunday, January 13, 2025.

The inaugural meeting of this task force was held on Sunday, January 13, 2025, at the National Defense University. It was attended by Engineer Bagheri, the Vice President, and Engineer Shishegar, the Secretary of the Strategic Crisis Management Group, along with the head and members of the task force, as well as a number of managers and experts related to crisis management.

In this meeting, Engineer Hossein Bagheri expressed gratitude for the members' attendance and emphasized the importance of focusing on the title, mission, responsibilities, and objectives of the task force for 2025. He referred to the management stages in crisis situations, including traditional, manager-centric, and knowledge-centric management approaches, stressing that knowledge-based management methods in crisis management should be strengthened. He also highlighted the necessity of holding regular meetings of the task force with the participation of both individual and organizational members.

Mr. Rahmatollah Shishegar, the Secretary of the Group, welcomed the members of the task force, thanked them for their presence, and congratulated them on the occasions of the month of Rajab. He proceeded to present some of the group's activities, including previous specialized meetings and various projects in crisis management conducted this year.

He also emphasized the importance of ensuring the participation of all governmental organizations, NGOs, and elite foundations in each task force. Furthermore, Engineer Salimi, the head of the task force, stated that collaborating and leveraging the university's capabilities is a matter of pride. He expressed hope that the task force would effectively utilize the expertise of specialists and elites in fulfilling its assigned duties.
