Supreme National Defense University Hosts Top Professors from Iraqi Universities

According to the Communications and International Relations Center, a group of distinguished professors from Iraqi universities, who are in the Islamic Republic of Iran as guests of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, participated in a joint session with faculty members of the Supreme National Defense University on Tuesday, February 13.
The session, presided over by Brigadier General Dr. Esmaeil Ahmadi-Moghaddam, President of the Supreme National Defense University, focused on the role of resistance in countering global arrogance and the concept of Islamic Awakening in the region and the broader Islamic world.
At the outset of his remarks, General Ahmadi-Moghaddam extended his congratulations on the auspicious occasions of Sha’ban and, in particular, the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AJ). He then referred to the core slogan of the Islamic Republic of Iran—“Independence, Freedom, Islamic Republic”—stating that the late Imam Khomeini (may God’s mercy be upon him) established the Islamic Republic based on unwavering principles, which are reflected in the very motto of the revolution.
He further emphasized that the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has repeatedly asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran was founded on three key principles—without reliance on either the East or the West, without submitting to the pressures of global superpowers, and without any intention of territorial expansion. He concluded by affirming that the Islamic Republic of Iran, God willing, will pave the way for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AJ).
The President of the Supreme National Defense University continued by stating: Despite the military wars, cultural invasions, and economic sanctions, just as we have advanced over the past 47 years, we will continue to triumph. Currently, we are among the advanced nations in producing missiles, drones, and other necessary weapons without reliance on foreign sources.
General Ahmadi-Moghaddam added: Although the sanctions have posed challenges, we have overcome these obstacles through a resistance economy.
In another part of his speech, he referred to the martyrdom of Martyr Haniyeh and Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, highlighting the role of resistance and the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the resistance front, particularly in Iraq and Syria. He praised the role of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) as a force that has played a crucial and essential role in the fight against global arrogance and ISIS. He further stated: "After the Al-Aqsa Storm, we entered into protracted wars. Hamas and the Islamic Republic of Iran directly engaged in the conflict. The people of Gaza stood firm, and after 15 months of fighting, with tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, the war ended with the surrender of the Zionist enemy and the victory of the resistance."
General Ahmadi-Moghaddam also stated: The enemy used Gaza as a testing ground for their weapons, and despite the martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and other commanders, in the end, the conditions of resistance were imposed on the Zionist enemy. As Sheikh Khaled stated, victory requires patience and perseverance, and the enemy could not foresee the strength of the resistance.
He concluded by stating: The Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to supporting the resistance through military, political, media, material, and spiritual means.
