Statement from the Supreme National Defense University on the Anniversary of the Honorable Return of the Freed Prisoners

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

According to the Center for Communications and International Relations, the Supreme National Defense University has issued a statement to commemorate the anniversary of the honorable return of esteemed freed prisoners to the Islamic homeland. The text of the statement is as follows:

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; some of them have fulfilled their vows, and some are still waiting, and they have not changed in the least." (Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 23)

Mordad Mah(August) marks the anniversary of the return of the resilient figures of patience and resistance. This occasion serves as a tribute to the honorable freed prisoners who endured years of pain and suffering in the prisons of the oppressive Ba'ath regime. Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran stands proudly against all attacks, pressures, and international adversities, drawing on the invaluable experience gained from the second sacred defense, which was valiantly shaped by the youth and brave men of the armed forces, as well as the devoted and ever-present people of Iran. We remain steadfast and resilient, more honored than ever.

The Supreme National Defense University congratulates the entire nation of Iran, especially the patient freed prisoners who embody the true essence of Zainabi patience, Alavi loyalty, Hosseini dignity, and Abbasi valor. We wish for these national heroes to continue their honor and pride under the guidance of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and the esteemed leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei (may his glory last long).
