Commemoration Ceremony of Research Week at the Supreme National Defense University

According to the Center for Communications and International Relations, on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 (25 Azar 1399), a ceremony commemorating Research Week was held at the Supreme National Defense University with the participation of researchers, scholars, professors, students, and research colleagues, attended by Brigadier General Dr. Esmail Ahmadi-Moghaddam.

During the ceremony, the Deputy for Research and Secretary-General of the Strategic Defense Research Center, Dr. Hosseini, after welcoming the guests present at the session, elaborated on the research performance carried out over the past year, particularly the research activities conducted during the Twelve-Day War waged by the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran and in its aftermath.

In continuation of the ceremony, the President of the Supreme National Defense University, while congratulating the audience on Research Week, addressed the role, status, and importance of research with reference to Qur’anic verses and narrations. He emphasized that the thoughtful and intellectual human being is the central axis of any transformation aimed at achieving sustainable development in all fields, particularly in the defense and security domains.

Additionally, in another part of his remarks, addressing researchers, scholars, and futurists, he stated that the Supreme National Defense University, as the highest research center within the Armed Forces and the only strategic studies institution in the defense and security domains, continues to provide the platform and environment for your research as in the past, so that you may push the boundaries of knowledge and share your findings, thereby fostering valuable discourse among researchers”. He emphasized that “your current findings and your research on the future of the world can, while resolving the country’s present challenges, design and outline a desirable future for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the General Staff of the Armed Forces”.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, while honoring the memory of the martyrs, the families of the esteemed researcher-martyrs and the selected individuals were appreciated through the presentation of plaques of commendation.
