Message from the Head of the Supreme National Defense University on the Occasion of the 47th Anniversary of the Glorious Victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the Sacred Days of the Blessed Ten Days of Fajr

“The enemies attempt to push the Revolution out of public memory; however, the Ten Days of Fajr keep it alive. They seek to erase the memory of Imam; but the Ten Days of Fajr stand as a living manifestation of the will and towering stature of our great Imam.”          The Supreme Leader (may his presence endure)

On the eve of the 47th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and during the sacred Ten Days of Fajr, the University—while paying tribute to Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Revolution, and honoring the memory of the distinguished martyrs of the Revolution, the Sacred Defense, and national security—regards this decisive period as a valuable opportunity for a rational and scholarly reassessment of the achievements and objectives of the Islamic Revolution.

The sacred Ten Days of Fajr symbolize the expression of the Iranian people’s will, the convergence of religious faith and social awareness, and the beginning of a path that established independence, freedom, and the Islamic Republic as the core pillars of the country’s political and cultural identity. As the highest center for knowledge production, human capital development, and critical thought within the armed forces, the University plays a key role in sustaining and advancing the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

From its outset, the Islamic Revolution has emphasized principles such as social justice, human dignity, scientific self-reliance, and social responsibility. Under current conditions, achieving sustainable development and national strength depends on a strategic linkage between applied knowledge, professional ethics, and responsiveness to the real needs of society. Within this framework, the academic community is expected to adopt a problem-oriented, forward-looking, and rational approach, contributing to the resolution of the country’s key challenges across political, economic, cultural, and social domains—most notably in the areas of defense, security, and military affairs.

Marking the Ten Days of Fajr and reaffirming commitment to the ideals of the late Imam Khomeini and the nation’s fallen martyrs, I call on faculty members, researchers, staff, and students to contribute actively and effectively to advancing the University’s standing and supporting the broader objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran through solidarity, academic responsibility, and the promotion of dialogue and innovation. It is hoped that, through collective wisdom and a shared commitment to scientific progress, intellectual independence, and cultural development, Iran will continue to move forward on a stable and enduring path of advancement.
