Message from the Commander of The Supreme National Defense University on the Occasion of February 8, Air Force Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran

At the dawn of the Islamic Revolution, the history of Iran witnessed one of the most remarkable displays of popular strength and the armed forces’ loyalty to the nation’s ideals. On this day, the Air Force joined the sweeping wave of the revolutionary people, adding another proud chapter to its legacy. Through its heroic presence alongside the people, it affirmed its commitment to the principles of Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution. This day has come to symbolize the inseparable bond between the army and the nation and marks a turning point in consolidating the victory of the Revolution.

      Today, the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, drawing on the same spirit of faith, revolutionary commitment, and expertise, serves as the country’s iron-clad aerial power, protecting the nation’s skies with the most advanced indigenous and force-enhancing capabilities. The bravery of its pilots, specialists, and commanders continues the path first charted on February 8, 1979 (19 Bahman 1357).

The Supreme National Defense University extends its congratulations on this important day to all courageous members of the Air Force, distinguished veterans, and their families. The University reaffirms its commitment to educating capable, innovative, and revolutionary leaders and commanders to strengthen the nation’s defense foundations.

                It is hoped that, with ever greater strength and under the guidance of the Supreme Leader and the guardianship of Imam Mahdi (may his reappearance hasten), the skies of the Islamic Republic of Iran will remain safe and proud.
