The Message of the Supreme National Defense University on the Occasion of the Martyrdom of Brigadier General MohammadReza Zahedi

According to a report issued by the International Communication and Relations Center, the Supreme National Defense University issued a statement on the martyrdom of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, an experienced IRGC senior adviser in Syria as well as the former commander of the 16th Qods brigade in Gilan and several of his associates, as follows:

In the Name of God, the Destroyer of the Oppressors

Once again, the hand of the most evil of the time, the Zionist occupation regime of Israel, committed another crime with the support of the American terrorist regime. On the night of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and Laila-al-Qadr (the Night of Destiny, when the annual destiny of every person will be determined by God) it cowardly attacked on the consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city of Damascus, which led to the martyrdom of one of the courageous warriors of Islam, Martyr Mohammad Reza Zahedi who served as a commander of the Front of Resistance. He was an experienced military advisor of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syria, as well as one of the comrades of Martyr Haj Qassem Soleimani (known as the “commander of hearts). Also a number of his companions and comrades especially Brigadier General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi among others including veterans of the Holy Defense as well as Iran's senior military advisors in Syria and 5 of their accompanying officers were martyred during this attack that included Hossein Amanollahi, Seyyed Mahdi Jalalati, Mohsen Sadaqat, Ali Agha Babaei and Seyyed Ali Salehi Rozbahani.

Today, the security of the great and proud nation of Islamic Iran owes to the sincere and honest Jihad of the great commanders and their comrades. Doubtlessly, the martyrdom of these loved ones is not only the end of the path, but a valuable beginning and a divine growth in the front of resistance and defense of the oppressed of the world. No doubt, the Zionist occupation regime will pay for this crime. The Supreme National Defense University, while congratulating and condoling the martyrdom of the Brigadier MohammadReza Zahedi and his comrades to Imam Mahdi, the Supreme Commander of the Forces, as well as the respected families of those martyrs and their comrades, wishes them patience, and prays for their exalted souls to rest in eternal peace and to have the highest ranks before God, strongly condemning this criminal act of the fake Zionist regime led by the United States.
