According to the Center for Communications and International Relations, the second scientific event on the training and education of armed forces was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The meeting focused on "Developing a Strategic Document for the Internationalization of Higher Education in the Armed Forces." It was attended by the Deputy and senior managers of the Training and Education Department of the Armed Forces General Staff, as well as managers and experts from the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, the Law Enforcement Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and researchers from the Strategic Management Research Institute and the International Faculty , held in the Shahid Beheshti Hall of the Supreme National Defense University.
At the beginning of the meeting, following the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Dr. Seyed Javad Amini, the head of the Strategic Management Research Institute, welcomed the esteemed attendees of the scientific session. He elaborated on the missions of the organizational and trans-organizational aspects of the internationalization of armed forces training and education, highlighting the significant global trends and national developments, as well as the existing value-creating capabilities. Subsequently, topics and priorities were raised by the participants, focusing on the opportunities and challenges affecting the internationalization of training and education.
The internationalization of training and education represents a strategic approach to enhancing defense diplomacy and strengthening the geopolitical standing of countries on a global scale.
This process not only facilitates the transfer of knowledge and experiences among countries, but also contributes to the establishment of collaborative scientific and security networks, enhances mutual cultural understanding, and expands soft power through education and academic interactions.
Countries that embark on this path can export their strategic values through specialized education and, by training foreign academic and military elites, create reliable political and security allies in various regions of the world over the long term.
