Meeting of the Head of the Supreme National Defense University with the Family of Martyr Colonel Kioumars Khansari

According to the Center for Communications and International Relations, Major General Dr. Ismail Ahmadi-Moghaddam, the Head of the SNDU, visited the home of Martyr Brigadier Kiomars Khansari on Tuesday, June 27, 2025, to meet and converse with the family of this esteemed martyr.
Major General Ahmadi-Moghaddam, reflecting on his close acquaintance with the martyr, stated: "Martyr Khansari lived a life filled with purity, honesty, integrity, service, and hard work, and with over 9,500 flight hours, he was a great honor for the country. I personally flew alongside him for more than 300 hours, and I remember this experience as a privilege."
The Head of the SNDU, honoring the sacrifice and dedication of Martyr Khansari's family, who were renowned pilots of the Faraja airline, stated: "The medal of honor for friendship with the martyr, in addition to its many blessings, imposes a heavy responsibility on a person. Safeguarding this nobility requires self-discipline and accountability for the blessings that will be questioned on the Day of Judgment. Without a doubt, this path cannot be traversed without the support of the esteemed families of the martyrs."
At the end of this meeting, General Ahmadi-Moghaddam recited a couplet from Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi's or Rumi's poetry, addressing the martyr's family: "Martyr Khansari may have fallen in appearance, but in truth, he soared and joined the heavens."
In this meeting the Brigadier General of Faraja airline, that is Master Pilot Jalal Mansouri-Nejad, the commander of the Faraja airline, and also Master Pilot Mohammad Zarei, the Deputy for International Affairs at the Drug Control Headquarters and advisor to the Commander-in-Chief for the Police, were present. Martyr Khansari attained martyrdom on January 15, 2025, following the crash of a light training aircraft in Gilan Province.
